Why I dig it
Yep, it’s the third year in a row I’ve given away this prize, but WLR is still one of my favourite tools. I like my mindful eating stuff but I’m a data nerd too. While I keep a Food/Mood journal on my Google Spreadsheet, I use WLR to check the nutritional balance of new recipes or to keep a closer eye on my intake now and then. I don’t have any emotional attachment to numbers these days and I like balancing the mindful stuff with some good ol’ data.
I’ve used WLR since 2004 and had found the interface a little dated in the last couple of years, but they recently did a major redesign and it rocks! It’s so clean, well-organised and intuitive.
